Aisling Clarke is an Irish traditional musician from Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Roscommon. She graduated in 2020 with First Class Honours in BA Irish Music and Dance from the Irish World Academy, University of Limerick and completed her Masters in Media Studies from Mary Immaculate College, Limerick. Her musical style is heavily influenced by the North Connaught flute playing tradition.
Most recently, Aisling curated and presented an online Irish traditional music series, ‘Carry The Tunes’ with The Dock Arts Centre featuring local musicians. Aisling was also selected as a young curator as part of LASTA Festival 2021 with Siamsa Tíre where she curated on online Rambling House celebrating the Irish oral tradition. Aisling has worked on TG4’s FleadhTV for many years meeting artists from all over the world and is looking forward to the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann returning this year.
