Mark McGovern has performed with many Sligo-based bands and artists in his career including Sharon Conway, Miles Graham and Rackhouse Pilfer.

During his time with Rackhouse Pilfer he had his skills as a multi-instrumentalist put to the test, playing acoustic and electric guitar, banjo, mandolin, slide guitar, pedal steel and double bass. 

Mark performs solo gigs on a regular basis around the country. Additionally, he is a guitarist in indie  band Staring Down Comets, who are releasing their debut album ‘Is There Time’ on all major platforms.

Mark also has 5 years experience teaching guitar and bass at Sligo Academy of Music.

As a tutor for Music Generation Sligo, Mark teaches both guitar and ukulele in various schools throughout the county.
