Róisín Egan
Music DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Born in Sligo, Professional Soprano Róisín Egan graduated with honours from the DIT Conservatoire of Music where she pursued a Bachelor of Music Degree specialising in Performance. Róisín established her own music school Singskool in 2012 specialising in early years music education and her own Singskool Vocal Academy covering all aspects of vocal technique. Róisín is trained in many pedagogical approaches in Early Years music education and Special Educational Needs music education specialising in teaching children with Autism and creating new methods of creating music sessions within SEN settings.
She has co-authored a resource methodology booking ‘Con Tutti Music Education & Autism‘ for post graduate teachers in partnership with St.Angela’s College Centre of Special Educational Needs Inclusion and Diversity (CSENID). After working with Music Generation as a Music Educator for eight years Róisín took up the lead role as Music Development Officer for Music Generation Sligo in November 2019.
